Alkinoos’ second album as a songwriter was released in 1999. Great soloists, like David Lynch (sax), Yiotis Kiourtsoglou (bass), Stavros Lantsias (keys), Miltiades Papastamou (violin) and Mihalis Kapilidis (drums) took part in the recording and followed Alkinoos on the road for the next years. The arrangements combine his scores with the improvisational skills of the musicians. With the (up to date) huge air-play of songs like “Oneiro Itane”, “Tha ‘mai konta sou”, “Paraklisi” and “Me tosa psemata”, the album became platinum, while darker songs like “Requiem” and “Spasmeno” became cult. His ability to move from mainstream norms to avant-gard and from western harmonies to eastern patterns, without loosing his course, or the essence of the song, becomes part of his singularity. Dionysis Savvopoulos and Eleftheria Arvanitaki participate in “Adiexodo”.
